Species Catalog

On this page I will be cataloging plant species that I find or plant on the property.  Here I'm mainly interested in the perennials.  It will probably never be complete.  I plan on adding to it as I discover what we have.  If you notice any errors, I'd love it if you'd let me know!

Japanese Quince/Flowering Quince (Chaenomeles)- shrub next to shed.  Beautiful peach colored flowers in early Spring

Rhododendron - in 2016 it bloomed early with warm temps, but a hard freeze in early April killed all the blossoms.

White Dogwood (Cornus florida) white flowers staying around long in spring. Red berries lasted through most of winter.
